Awaken Your Prosperity with 3 Simple Questions!

0 Awaken Your Prosperity with 3 Simple Questions!

I just watched this 5 part video* on creative consciousness with Deepak Chopra and was blown away, so I thought I would share it with you! This is a 5 part series – just 10 minutes each. One of the takeaways was this simple exercise:

Since everything is energy, we want to be sure we are staying in a high vibration and attracting what we want in our life…rather than being in a state of struggle and fear.Deepak suggests, every day, ask yourself three questions:

  • Is it easy?
  • Is it fun?
  • Am I getting results?

If the answer to any of these is no, then consider how it is affecting your life.Could this be why your are not experiencing success, joy, vibrant health? What is the Universe trying to tell you? What one thing could you do, change or let go of to create more ease, flow, fun? Could this possibly change your results or experience?

Play with this? Have fun with it.Stop being so serious.Let go of the fear, find someone to share your ideas with.Find a mastermind group.Ask yourself, “What’s the worst thing that can happen anyway and is it worse than staying where I am right now?”

I just had a huge breakthrough this week working with my new Operations Manager, Sue, and you will be seeing major changes in the work I am doing.Yes, it’s scary, but it’s also time to step up, get out of my comfort zone again, and to see what happens. I’d love to hear your thoughts, what can you release that is draining your energy? Post your answer below! Thanks!

The 5 Secrets of Energy and Money: #3 – Energy Zappers

Marilyn96.20 The 5 Secrets of Energy and Money: #3 Energy Zappers“The world you live in is the exact record of your thoughts. If you do not like the world you live in, then you do not like your thoughts. An uplifted mind is a magnet for all good things of the universe to hasten to you. Whereas, a depressed, anxious, critical, resentful state of mind becomes a magnet for trouble to fly to you. The choice is up to you. ~ Catherine Ponder, from The Millionaire Joshua: His Prosperity Secrets for You! (Millionaires of the Bible)

There are all kinds of money energy zappers, from scarcity beliefs and lack perspectives to downright fear. Today I’m going to write about one that doesn’t always get our attention: Forgiveness.

Everything is energy, and the main purpose of the work I do with my clients, whether in my coaching or my shamanic practice is how to have peace of mind. A multitude of studies confirm that negative thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors affect our mental and physical health, our success, our self-worth, and ultimately our ability to create prosperity.

Carrying a grudge completely blocks our peace of mind. An unwillingness to forgive is like shooting ourselves and expecting the person who did us wrong to feel the pain! Forgiveness is not something we do for the other person; it’s what we do for ourselves.

Clearing your self of any low-frequency energy through forgiveness makes room for the good you desire. It creates a vacuum in which the universe can place what it has to offer. Refusing to forgive is hanging on to self-defeating feelings such as guilt, shame, blame, hurt, and resentment.

Just as limiting beliefs block the flow of prosperity to you, anything that is in the way of feeling worthy of receiving will keep you from receiving the best the universe has to offer.

On your spiritual path toward prosperity, it is necessary to come to a place of forgiveness that’s so deep, full, and complete that no low-frequency energy at all will remain with you.

Many people talk about the concept of forgiveness, but most have not actually done it. Usually, there is still blame, judgment, condemnation, etc. What that says is that we want to be more forgiven than we forgive others.

In truth, no one can hurt us unless we allow them to hurt us. No one can do to us what we are not already doing to ourselves.

For example, let’s say you are feeling hurt and sad that someone stole from you. The natural tendency is to blame someone or something, instead of asking sincerely, “How am I stealing from myself?

The energy you use to point fingers, gossip, blame, accuse, and justify your position will begin to affect you and everyone around you. That energy quickly begins to steal from others.

Instead, reframe your story. Even though this might seem extremely difficult in some terrible situations, it is possible. It’s more comforting to take on the role of victim. However, at some point, your victimization becomes an enormous energy drain for others, not to mention yourself.

In creating a new story, look at what happened and then search for the benefits you received as a result of what you had to go through. What did you learn? How did you grow? Who did you become as a result — in a good way?

If you are reading this, you are on a spiritual path. You came onto this planet as a person with a purpose. Telling the story of the victim keeps you from being brilliant. Instead of feeling abused by power, reclaim it. And the first step is to forgive.

What new story do you want to create so you can have forgiveness and peace of mind and open your energy to the abundant flow from the universe?

Blessings!

The 5 Secrets of Energy and Money: #2 – The Energy of Intention

Marilyn96.20 The 5 Secrets of Energy and Money: #2 The Energy of IntentionLast week, I wrote about the first of the 5 Secrets of Energy and Money, The Energy of Purpose. This week I’m writing about the Energy of Intention.

Money in any amount, spent on anything, acts as a carrier of energy and intent.

In my first attempt at writing this article, I began by trying to define intention. Struggling with the writing, I took a break and read a passage in the amazing book, The Soul of Money: Reclaiming the Wealth of Our Inner Resources by Lynne Twist, a veteran global activist and fundraiser for The Hunger Project. Her book is an inspiring and wise perspective on the connection between money and a fulfilling life.

She shares the story of a woman from Harlem, barely above the poverty level herself, contributing $50 to the poor and hungry. As the woman gave her the money, she said to Twist, money is a lot like water. For some folks it rushes through their life like a raging river. Money comes through my life like a little trickle. But I want to pass it on in a way that does the most good for the most folks. I see that as my right and as my responsibility. It’s also my joy.

Earlier in the day she had received a check for $50,000 from a corporation, the largest she had ever received. But it had been a public relations ploy, a way to raise their image. It did not come from a place of joy. The $50 meant more to Twist, because of the intention behind the giving. She ended up sending the large check back to the CEO, explaining that she wanted commitment to end hunger from those who contributed. It was a powerful lesson.

How you choose to spend or give your money carries the intention of your soul energy. If you hoard and save in fear that there isn’t and never will be enough, or you fear losing what you have, when the flow of money goes out from you, as it will in some form, it will carry that energy with it.

If you appreciate and recognize that you have what you need or more than you need, and focus on money as an expression of gratitude and purpose, it will carry that intention with it.

Do you know the flow of money in your life? How does it come in, and where does it go out? When you look at the way money flows through your life, you can see where you are in your relationship with it.

If you aren’t sure of your priorities in life, or you want to take a closer look at who you are and what you care about, look at your checkbook, your credit card bills, or your bank statement.

Does your money come at a cost, or does it come with joy and ease? Does it come in ways that fill you, or deplete you? On the other side of the flow, do you consciously choose ways to spend it, paying attention to its impact on other people or the environment?

When you look at your relationship with money, look with no blame. Witness how it comes to you, and how you spend it, save it, invest it, or give it away. In this examination, you will see the flow as a reflection of your values. If it is not a fit with who you think you are, then change it. Without judgment of good or bad, knowing the flow will give you the ability to make conscious choices to align your spending with your highest self.

Then put THAT intention into every interaction with money. It takes courage to redirect the flow, but each time you do, you invest in the world as you envision it.

If your intention is to lift and empower, invest in ways that nourish yours and others inner lives. If your intention is to support the well-being of our children and communities, spend money on companies whose products and people support that intent.

The experience of true wealth comes from sharing. Return to the soul of money as a carrier of your intentions, as energy, as a currency of love for the nourishment of those things you care most about.

Imbue your money with the energy of your soul as you send it out into the world. Be conscious of what you are spending it on. When you are engaged soulfully and authentically, the commitments you make with money can and do nourish the world.

Blessings!

The 5 Secrets of Money and Energy – #1 The Energy of Purpose

Marilyn96.20 The 5 Secrets of Money and Energy #1 The Energy of PurposeFor the next five weeks, I will be writing about each of these energy principles. The first, and most important is the Energy of Purpose.

Just today I read a quote by Michael Dell, founder of Dell computers. It was in an article about 5 entrepreneurs under the age of 25 who had amassed great wealth. When Dell was 19 he made his first million. Today he is a billionaire. What he said was, “You have to be passionate about what you are doing. I think people that look for great ideas to make money aren’t nearly as successful as those who say, ‘Okay, what do I really love to do? What am I excited about?’ ”

When you know your purpose, it doesn’t matter what amount of money you make. It’s the excitement of doing something you love, that you are brilliant at, and that makes a difference in the world. It’s what makes you excited to get out of bed every day.

When you look at people who have accomplished significant things in their lives, you might think you don’t have what it takes to make a difference in your life. But the truth is that the only real difference between you and those people is that they have a clearly defined life purpose that they selected for themselves and then embraced with dedication and determination.

Now, finding and following your divine purpose is different from setting your goals. A goal is a tangible desire with an end result. But your divine purpose is really a way of living.

For example, I might have a goal of learning how to play the guitar. However, my divine purpose would be to bring joy to others through music.

Your purpose is the reason why you are here, both the being and doing. The questions to ask are “Who am I meant to be? and “What am I meant to do?

Typically, when I ask clients these questions, the response is from an ego-based place, which is based in fear. To do what you are meant to do and be who you are meant to be will bring up challenges to your stability, the one thing the ego is set on maintaining. The trick is to maintain your ego and connect with your trusted source — whether internal, universal, or personal — to uncover what your purpose is.

Katana and I will be diving deep into accessing what you are meant to be in the world in the first week of our telecourse. When you know your true purpose — not what others have told you to be or what you do to be safe — and put structures in place to support that, the universe will respond with synchronicities, the right people, specific tools, and yes — money — to support you.

Next week — The Energy of Intention.Blessings!

Vision and Living in the Moment

“The light from one small moment of honest self-inquiry is more powerful than the
accumulated darkness of a million years of doubt. ~ Guy Finley

Vision3D 150x150 Vision and Living in the MomentIn his book, Design Your Destiny, Guy Finley says that, “Each of us is created with the power to choose our course of destiny. To be able to do this, you must first learn how to access the place where your future is being created: the present moment. The concept of the present moment, while hard to grasp and live in, has complete power over what happens in our future. That moment is our destiny.

How can living in the moment and creating a vision which seems like a far-off point in time be mutually dependent? Being in the present moment means that you are not thinking about regrets over something that happened in the past. Nor are you thinking about what might happen in the next moment. You are, without thinking, experiencing the feelings, sights, and sounds within and around you right now. If you are truly in the present moment, within your being, you won’t be thinking about which direction is best for you. You won’t have to choose from the old patterns that produce limited beliefs. New alternatives will appear as your inner vision. These messages from your true being will guide you.

Let me tell you a story of how I discovered the true sense of living in the moment. A few years ago, I went on a week long raft trip down the Rogue River in southern Oregon. Never having tried an inflatable kayak before, I decided to give it a go. The first leg of the trip was relatively calm, with a couple of class two rapids, so I was able to get a feel for the craft and the river before we headed into more significant whitewater. At one point, I found myself caught in a small eddy, a river current at variance with the main current that causes a whirlpool-like effect in the river. I struggled to paddle out of the eddy, and when I finally pulled away, found myself floating backward down some rapids. I began to panic. I am a strong person, but was unable to bring the kayak around to face down river. Fortunately, the current carried me up against a medium-sized rock. From there, I was able to push off of the rock and bring myself around in the right direction. At the next still water, I paddled to the edge of the river and caught my breath.

In those moments which seemed like an eternity I had an epiphany. Being on the river was like paddling through life. As the current carried me, I realized that to safely navigate the channels and rapids that I would encounter, I needed to be fully present. I might have a few seconds to make a decision about a direction to take, but ultimately the current would take me where it wanted. The more I struggled with the direction I wanted to take, the more difficult the trip became. When I stayed in the moment, trusting that I would make the decision necessary at the point I needed to, I began to see the entire river more clearly. I began to see how the water broke against the rocks and how the current changed directions. Staying in the flow instead of resisting its direction gave me a sense of calm, even in the much more serious rapids we encountered later down the river. What control I had was limited by the power of the current as it channeled through the canyons and over the rocks. The more I fought the flow, the less success I had and the more effort I had to expend. The river became my guide, just as my creative self guides me when I am present and in the moment.

In the present moment you merge with your self-expression. You don’t question your next move, or your choices, or what the results will be in the end. You are in the natural flow. When this happens, all of your experiences are affected. You will know what you need to know, when you need to know it. You will not have to think about your vision; it will come to you.

As your trust in the moment increases, you begin to experience less anxiety about the past and the future, and are more in tune with your surroundings. There synchronicity. Inspiration and enthusiasm increase, and as they do, you feel happier. When you are happy, you become more spontaneous, creative, and productive.

This is not to say that we should ignore action and achievements. Doing and having, as well as being, are a part of the creative process. Logic, goal-setting, and management of objectives is important. However, the first step is to be self-aware and present, which expands your understanding and provides more clarity of the process. Then you can begin to streamline objectives, which ultimately brings more enjoyment to each task and accomplishment.

Creating Your Authenic – Soul Centered Brand

Chat w.Kat logo 107x150 Creating Your Authenic Soul Centered BrandIt was last December when I decided to figure out my own personal brand.  For years, I had been promoting my online community, Smart Women’s Coaching, which is an online educational, inspirational and empowerment community featuring our Contributing Experts. I felt safe and it was a nice place to be — I thought. But I was wrong.  You see I had forgotten to brand myself.  I had almost become an administrator for our community…hosting the calls, writing the ezine and providing lots of content for the greater good.

No wonder I was feeling burned out. I was not expressing my unique abilities and talents by being behind a computer! Well, I decided to talk to one of our Contributing Experts, Ruth Klein, about my situation, and that’s when she told me I had forgotten to create my own personal brand.

I hired Ruth as my business coach and we got busy.  Within six weeks, I had launched my own personal website www.katanaabbott.com and launched my Midlife Millionaire brand.  I even launched an 8 week course on Creating Your Midlife Millionaire Lifestyle and had rave reviews from those who attended.

Something was still missing though – my brand did not express my mission authentically.  There was still one piece missing…then I got it.  My passion and expertise as a Certified Financial Planner is helping women create the second half of their lives…to create financial freedom while following their passion and to leave a fabulous legacy.  My brand was actually, “Awakened Midlife Millionaire” and I help you awaken your life, business and legacy. I was sooooo excited!

Do you see the difference?  To me, the “Awaken” goes to the soul, purpose and passion of creating your perfect life.  Then the magic began to happen. As soon as I made the commitment to move forward with my new and authentic brand, other opportunities began to come into my life.  My dear friend, Marilyn Schwader, who is a Shamanic Practitioner, and I began to share our dreams about leading off site spiritual prosperity retreats in places like Costa Rica and South America and we are are now co-creating a new program on Awakened Prosperity.  It really is magical what begins to happen when you begin to follow your bliss and express yourself authentically!

Where are you holding yourself back?  Is there something inside of you that’s just waiting to emerge to help you live more authentically, joyfully and abundantly?

If you are interested in learning more about Awakened Prosperity, you can listen to my radio show, Smart Women Talk this Tuesday, August 24 at 11 am EST, 8 am PST when I will be interviewing Shamanic Practictioner, Marilyn Schwader.

In addition, if you are interested in learning more about creating your own Soul Center – Authentic Brand, you can join me and Brand Strategist, Ruth Klein this Wednesday, August 25th at 7:30 pm EST, 4:30 pm PST.  Click here to register for our free teleseminar, Creating a Soul Centered Business, Brand or Book.  You will love both of these events — I promise!

Also, feel free to pick up my free Midlife Millioniare Success Pack with my interview, transcipt and article on creating your inspired and authentic life with abundance.
